Worldwide play
Living the change we wish to see in the world is a moto Clownlife has adopted into its ethos. We are voting every day with our dollar. Voting for the communities, organisations, companies, people we wish to see succeed in the world.
Clownlife votes with its profit to bring play, performance, artistic, personal development and wellness practices to communities around the world.
Much of the profit made by Clownlife Intensives go straight back into direct Humanitarian, Artistic Aid work.
"Giving my time and artistic practice to communities that need it the most is where I like to spend my "time off" from the Clownlife Intensives. I enjoy travelling the world and getting involved in projects already existing or co-creating ones with the communities I visit. I have had tears stream from my eyes, I've felt my heart pounding and expanding from the beauty I've witnessed with this work- it's life changing in every way, especially for me as a facilitator. My only hope is that it opens doors for people of all ages to see the potential that is with in them and out there in the world, inspired by the magic they can create with what they have"- Zuma.

The Power of Hope Canada
Summer 2018 Cortez Island Camp.
I was recently one of the Zilla Facilitators of this extraordinary youth empowerment through the arts camp. Working with youth between the age of 14-18 from diverse backgrounds and experience, focusing on healing and empowerment through art. Using artistic means to raise our voices and make the world one that we want to be a part of.
* I highly recommend getting involved in this organisation whether you are in a position to donate or have time to offer. It is one of the most incredible community building organisations out there.

La Bufon S.O.Sial & Punto DF - Mexico Tour Collaboration
October 2016- January 2017

|
A project run by Nano Lara Lala (La Bufon S.O.Sial) and Fausto Faustus (Punto DF) inviting 3 additional artists; Kay Marie Galivan (Canadian Muralist), Johanna Wigert (German Visual artist) and Zuma Puma ( Canadian/British Clown) to travel Mexico inspiring social change with the mediums of Clown, theatre, music and art. Visiting cities, indigenous communities and small towns- the artists will be painting community murals, teaching Clown/art/mural workshops and performing clown shows in local festivals, cultural centres, schools and theatres until late December.
Below is a short account of this incredible journey. Have a watch of our youtube video (right) to see the children in our Majaua Project in action. |

La Majahua, Mexico- December 2016
* Joined by additional artists: Pato Azulita Mexikana and Fernando Julian.
A 7 day long Peace Camp- Using a camp model created by Canadian organisation- "Childrens Peace Theatre" After years of working with the Canadian Organisation Nano Lara Lala was given the model to continue to inform his work in Mexico.
You can watch the video above to see the work that we did and the magic that was created in just one week. Using only the tools and materials we had available, we felt it important the children didn't feel they need to go outside of themselves or have the expensive art materials to inspire their creative practice. In one week we created a show about the over-fishing of lobsters in the ocean and the importance of keeping the oceans clean, we built props, costumes etc. out of left over paints and card board boxes found in recycling. We led everyday with a series of games, visual arts and clown as well as meditation.

Oaxaca, Mexico- November 2016
Taking part in a Social Change & Resistance Film festival, we taught an intensive Clown y Conflicto (Clown and Conflict) workshop as part of the festival. Nano Lara Lala had a documentary film in the festival about his work in the Autonomous indigenous community of Cheran. We performed in a street party community event and collaborated with Kay Marie Gallivan and Jorel XTR on a graffiti mural as seen below. Oaxaca was an incredible place to be during Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) by night we roamed the grave yards singing with families to the tombs of their deceased. |
Moctezuma, Mexico City- October- November 2016 In Collaboration with Punto DF and La Bufon S.O.Sial we are facilitating clown/ arts workshops in the local middle school in Moctezuma, Mexico City. We are performing and running a bi-weekly street show in the local square with our solo street Clown shows and have devised a long length clown show called "La Hypnotisadora" to perform in community centres and theatres. |
